In 2022, the company invested approximately R$50 million in process improvement and innovation projects. In 2023, LIASA took a significant step forward by modernizing its equipment and furnaces and investing in solar photovoltaic energy, solidifying its position as a pioneer in the large-scale use of clean and renewable energy in the sector. 

This commitment to sustainability brought to light a new challenge for LIASA: improving supplier management to ensure that its procurement practices were aligned with the principles of ethics, transparency, and sustainable development. 

As a result, the company sought to enhance its supplier chain management, minimize risks, and ensure that all business partners adhered to high ethical and environmental standards, effectively integrating its ESG – Environmental, Social and Governance – agenda. 

As a company exporting to over 60 countries, LIASA faced challenges in managing supplier documentation that impacted the efficiency of its processes. Additional problems arose due to the lack of standardization and proper validation, leading to incomplete forms and increasing the risk of errors and delays in manual validation.
