Imepel Indústria Mecânica, the largest manufacturer of rollers for continuous conveyors in Brazil, optimized its process management with a solution by SoftExpert, a global supplier of software and services for automating and improving business processes, regulatory compliance and corporate governance. According to Júlio Cota, Imepel Process Manager, the SoftExpert Excellence Suite solution allows for the agile and dynamic control of processes in progress, since the system informs managers and employees about their activities, which can be monitored at any time from any place. He notes that these processes used to be controlled with Excel spreadsheets and by e-mail, without any standard or coordination between sectors, which resulted in loss of data and delays due to human error.
We didn’t know the exact number of processes in progress, nor were we aware of just how many different processes existed in the company,” Júlio explains.

More than 20 automated processes

The implementation of the solution will automate more than 20 processes using the SoftExpert Process, Workflow and Form modules, which are used across the company from the administrative to operational areas, in addition to integrating SAP, which was recently carried out.
