Grupo Vigia boosts productivity by automating auditing processes using the SoftExpert solution

Mexico's Grupo Vigia, which runs over 30 companies working in different segments, such as the LP gas, fuel, real estate, construction and entertainment industries, automated its processes and increased productivity with the EQM solution from SoftExpert – a supplier of software and services for automation and enhancement of business processes, regulatory compliance and corporate governance.
The Company, which has over 1,500 employees, was looking for a tool that could help in managing competencies and processes. Francisco Meillon Orozco, the company's General Director, recalls that the group was looking for a system focused on leadership management. "When we saw the demo on the components, we realized that only SoftExpert solution brought together all of the characteristics needed to reinforce competency as a theme for executives and had different modules for all of the work areas; in other words, we would have it all in a single system," he says.
Meillon Orozco points out that another benefit has to do with supporting control of regulatory and audit processes. "We already have 284 guidelines in the system, governing all of the Company's operations, and we apply around 600 audits annually based on these regulations, in order to guarantee operating standards. Using the solution, we sent the qualifications to our Business Intelligence sector, to provide opportune feedback to the team."
The Mexican group, which is among the country's 100 best companies to work for, understands the importance of training as a central element in development at the Organization.
That is why in addition to helping to enhance competencies and controlling regulatory and audit processes, the solution supports employee training management. "We already have 4 courses ready and being applied. The goal is to have training on all of the technical skills needed within the group. Now we have a team that is developing courses, with the support of internal and external specialists," he adds.
According to Meillon, all of the group's contracts, actions and important documents are now protected in the system, improving communication and teamwork across every apartment and functional area.
The components included in the implementation project are: Document, Action Plan, Auditing, Requisitions, Competency, Training and Physical File, which are used at all of the Group's business units.
"The productivity and improvements we've achieved using the modules definitely have a high impact and we believe that this is one of the tools that will make the biggest contribution to the Company's growth and profitability," he says in closing.
