Mineração Rio do Norte (MRN) is one of the most important worldwide bauxite producers and it produces 12 million Tper year. It is located in Oriximiná, a city in the Pará west, and it counts with more than five thousand professionals, direct and indirect hired. The search for an integrated management tool

MRN had a clear challenge: eliminate manual controls that caused losses and inconsistencies in the document and record management. Wvagno Ferreira da Silva, MRN Strategy and Risk Management general manager, remembers the difficulty of managing the document versions due to parallel controls.
Our risk management was manual, from the risk management, Bowtie method application, to the control self assessment, everything was executed by spreadsheets and, many times, data were stored in the professional's computer, hence the information were outdated in the system,” he recalls.

“Other improvement that the system has provided is executing a more suitable management of causes and controls, so allowing the identification and elimination of files in duplicity or redundant,” he adds.
In the radar of next steps, the company plans to intensify the use of Audit, Performance and Action Plan components to improve even more the internal process flow.
